From time to time, it might be useful to clean your database in Contacts and Locations. As it might happen that when making new entries, you use different spelling than before.

For example, all these options for The Netherlands - Netherlands - Holland - Nederland, or maybe you've written amsterdam without a capital by accident.

You don't have to trough all your separate locations or contacts, but you can change all the differences at once.

This article will tell you how you can easily make this update.

Database entries

Go to the Office-section of your Agency account and click on Database Entries.

Choose your datagroup: this can be either Location or Contact.

Then choose your datapoint: either city, region or country.

If you click on 'Update selection', you will be shown all the values. You can then enter a new value and click on 'Update'.

Updating a value will update all the contacts or locations with this value.

Be aware: changes cannot be reversed.

Your database will now updated.

If you click on 'Update selection' again, you will find the wrong value has gone and your database clean!
