If you want to display your events on platforms like Facebook, Bandsintown, or your website, ABOSS provides an easy way to set your events as public. This guide will walk you through the steps to make your events visible on these connected services.

Table of Contents

  1. Selecting and Setting Events Public

  2. Setting Events Public from the Dashboard Overview

  3. Setting a Future Date for Public Events

  4. Updating the Public Note

1. Selecting and Setting Events Public

To make an event public, start by selecting the event you wish to display. Click on the event, and you’ll find a switch in the event tab located on the left side of the screen. Toggle this switch to set the event as public. Note: You will need manage permissions on events to be able to set events public.

2. Setting Events Public from the Dashboard Overview

In the Dashboard overview, you can easily monitor the public status of your events by using the "API Public" column. Here’s how to add it:

  • Click on the "select columns" icon.

  • Scroll down to "API Public" and click on it to make it active.

Once added, the "API Public" column will appear in your dashboard, displaying the public status of your events:

  • A black arrow indicates the event is not public.

  • A green arrow indicates the event is set to public.

3. Setting a Future Date for Public Events

ABOSS also allows you to set an event to become public on a future date. This option is available only within the event itself. To do this:

  • Click on "Select a date to set it public."

  • Choose the desired date for the event to be published.

  • Click on the green "Save" button to confirm.

4. Updating the Public Note

You can add a public note to your event, such as "Try-out," "Festival," or "Ticket sales start on May 27th." This note can be displayed on your website if your API settings are configured correctly. If you need help, consult your web developer.

To update the public note:

  • Click on "Update public note" within the event.

  • Enter your note, then click "Save."

If your event is set to public, the note will be shown on your website.
