In ABOSS you can indicate whether a flight goes directly from departure to arrival or includes an intermediate stop. This is managed through the Nonstop/Stop button inside a travel item. By default, flights are set to nonstop, but you can easily switch to stop if the itinerary includes a layover.

Table of Contents

1. Nonstop Flight
2. Stop Flight (Layover)

1. Nonstop Flight

When the button is set to Nonstop, you can enter the departure airport and the arrival airport. This option is used for direct flights without any stops in between. A nonstop flight means the traveler departs from one airport and arrives at the destination without a layover.

Example: A traveler flies directly from Amsterdam to Barcelona. In this case, you keep the button on Nonstop and only enter Amsterdam as the departure airport and Barcelona as the arrival airport.

2. Stop Flight (Layover)

If the flight includes a stop, switch the button to Stop. An extra field will appear where you can add a layover airport in addition to the departure and arrival airports. This option allows you to record connecting flights clearly in the travel item.

Example 1: A traveler flies from Amsterdam to New York with a stop in London. In this case, you enter Amsterdam as the departure airport, London as the layover, and New York as the arrival airport.

Example 2: A traveler flies from Berlin to Rome with a stop in Vienna. Here you enter Berlin as the departure airport, Vienna as the layover, and Rome as the arrival airport.

Switching the button ensures the correct fields appear, so the complete route is visible and no details are lost.
