Each successful digital signature request on our platform generates a contract log. This log acts as an audit trail and provides legal proof that a document has been duly signed.

How to Access the Contract Log

After all participants have signed the contract, you can download the contract log by following these steps:

  1. Open the Contract:

    • Open the contract for which you want to access the contract log.

  2. View the PDF:

    • Scroll to the PDF display section and click 'View PDF'.

    • A PDF of your contract will open in a new tab. The signing log can be found on the last page of the PDF.

Contents of the Contract Log

The contract log includes comprehensive details that validate the signatures and approvals on the document:

  • Document ID

  • Secure hash code

  • Signatures

  • Approvals

  • IP Addresses

  • Email Addresses

  • SignRequest Verifications

  • Timestamps

  • Internet Browsers Used

These elements ensure that each signature and approval on the document is authenticated and traceable.

Importance of the Contract Log

While the appearance of signatures or approvals on the electronically signed document is visible, the contract log provides the underlying proof of authenticity. SignRequest verifies all signatures and inputs on the electronic document, making the contract log a crucial element, especially in the event of disputes.

In summary, the contract log serves as robust validation of all actions taken by signers, offering undeniable proof and reinforcing the legal standing of the signed document.
