Security and Legal Considerations

When using the Payments feature in ABOSS, it's essential to understand the security measures and legal implications involved. ABOSS partners with Mollie, a trusted and highly secure payment provider, to handle all payment transactions. This partnership ensures that payments are processed reliably, but there are important aspects to keep in mind regarding responsibility and legal agreements.

Table of Contents

  1. Mollie’s Responsibility for Payment Processing

  2. ABOSS as a Facilitator, Not a Contracting Party

  3. Understanding Mollie’s User Agreement

  4. Legal Risks and Considerations

1. Mollie’s Responsibility for Payment Processing

Mollie is responsible for processing all payments initiated through ABOSS. This means that ABOSS itself is not involved in handling or storing payment data, nor does it manage the funds. Mollie ensures that payment transactions are processed securely, adhering to industry-leading security standards.

2. ABOSS as a Facilitator, Not a Contracting Party

It is crucial to understand that ABOSS acts solely as a facilitator in the payment process. While ABOSS enables the integration with Mollie and provides the tools for sending invoices with payment options, the actual financial transaction takes place between you (the agency or user) and Mollie.

When using the Payments feature, you enter into a direct agreement with Mollie, not ABOSS. ABOSS does not have access to the funds nor can manage your Mollie account, aside from permissions required to initiate payments and track statuses.

3. Understanding Mollie’s User Agreement

Using the Payments feature in ABOSS requires you to adhere to Mollie’s user agreement. This agreement outlines the terms and conditions for using Mollie’s services, including fees, security protocols, and compliance with financial regulations.

It is essential to review and understand this agreement thoroughly. Changes to Mollie’s terms may occur, so it is recommended to regularly check for updates to ensure ongoing compliance.

4. Legal Risks and Considerations

While Mollie is a highly reliable payment provider, potential risks exist, such as transaction delays or technical issues on Mollie’s side. It is important to note that ABOSS cannot be held liable for any issues resulting from Mollie’s payment processing.

By using Mollie through ABOSS, you agree to Mollie’s terms and conditions, and ABOSS is not responsible for any disputes or liabilities that arise from the payment process.
