Project Templates allow you to save specific selections of projects in your ABOSS Agency Dashboard and Calendar, and recall them instantly. Instead of manually selecting the same projects repeatedly, create templates that remember your selections and use them across both views.

1. What Are Project Templates and Why Use Them?

Project Templates are saved views of selected projects in your ABOSS Agency Dashboard and Calendar. Similar to Column Templates in the Dashboard (which save your preferred column configurations), Project Templates remember which projects you've selected, allowing you to instantly recall that exact selection whenever needed.

Each template is personal to your account and cannot be shared with other team members. Templates created in the Dashboard are also available in Calendar, and vice versa.

Why use Project Templates?

Eliminate repetitive selection
If you regularly work with the same group of projects, you no longer need to manually tick each one every time. Save them once as a template and recall them instantly.

Switch between different project views quickly
Toggle between viewing all projects and your specific selection with one click, saving time when you need to check different views throughout your workday.

2. Create a Project Template

You can create Project Templates from both the Dashboard and Calendar.

In Dashboard:

  1. In the top right corner of the ABOSS Agency Dashboard, click on "Select Projects" to open the project selection panel

  2. Tick the checkboxes next to all the projects you want to include in your template

  3. Two icons to the right of "Select Projects," click the "Templates" icon

  4. In the bottom half of the dropdown that appears, you'll see "Project Templates"

  5. Type the name you want to give your template

  6. Press Enter or click the "+" button to save

In Calendar:

  1. Go to "Calendar"

  2. Click "Manage"

  3. Select the projects you want to include in your template by ticking the checkboxes

  4. Click the "folder icon" next to "all projects"

  5. In the "Project Templates" section, type the name for your template

  6. Press Enter or click the "+" button to save

Your selected group of projects is now saved and can be recalled at any time from both Dashboard and Calendar.

3. Use a Saved Project Template

You can load your saved templates from both the Dashboard and Calendar.

In Dashboard:

  1. Click the "Templates" icon in the top right of the ABOSS Agency Dashboard

  2. In the bottom half of the dropdown, find "Project Templates"

  3. Click on the name of the template you want to load

The dashboard will immediately update to show only the projects included in that template.

In Calendar:

  1. Go to "Calendar"

  2. Click "Manage"

  3. Click the "folder icon" next to "all projects"

  4. Click on the name of the template you want to load

The calendar will immediately update to show only the projects included in that template.

You can create as many templates as you need and switch between them as often as required.

4. Delete a Project Template

In Dashboard:

  1. Click the "Templates" icon in the top right of the ABOSS Agency Dashboard

  2. In the "Project Templates" section, find the template you want to remove

  3. Click the trash bin icon next to the template name

In Calendar:

  1. Go to "Calendar"

  2. Click "Manage"

  3. Click the "folder icon" next to "all projects"

  4. In the "Project Templates" section, find the template you want to remove

  5. Click the "trash bin icon" next to the template name

The template will be permanently deleted from both Dashboard and Calendar. This action cannot be undone, but you can always create a new template with the same projects if needed.

5. Important Notes

Templates are personal
Project Templates are saved to your individual account within the Agency only. Other users in your agency cannot see or access your templates, and you cannot share templates with team members.

No limit on templates or projects
You can create as many Project Templates as you need, and there's no restriction on how many projects can be included in a single template.

Deleted projects
If a project included in your template is later deleted from ABOSS, it will remain in your template list. However, shows from that project will no longer appear in your dashboard view when you load the template.
