Efficiently Organize, Track, and Search Your Artist's Contacts

The Contacts module in ABOSS serves as your central database for managing all the contacts associated with your artist account. Each contact includes detailed address and personal information, along with a complete history of interactions. This module helps you track which events a contact has been involved with, whether they acted as a client or promoter.

1. Adding a New Contact or Company

You can easily add new companies or contacts to your ABOSS contact database. Keep everything organized by linking contacts to their respective companies.

  • Companies are represented with a square icon for their image, while contacts have a circular icon.

2. Tracking Contact History

ABOSS allows you to track a contact's involvement in events:

  • To view the events where the contact was the Client, navigate to the Client tab to see a full list of events.

  • For contacts involved as an advancing contact, go to the Contacts tab to view all events they have been linked to.

3. Using the VIES Check

If you're working with a European company and need to verify their VAT number, ABOSS integrates with the VIES (VAT Information Exchange System) database:

  • Add the company's VAT number to the contact and click the VIES check icon to confirm if the VAT number is valid.

4. Search and Filter Options

From the Contacts module, you can search your contact database to quickly find specific contacts:

  • Use the search field to enter a name, email address, or phone number to run a general search.

  • For a more targeted search, click the filter icon to access the Advanced Search options. Here, you can search contacts by city, country, email, label, and more. You can also combine multiple filters for precise results.

For more details, read our dedicated help article on search options.

5. Exporting Contact Data

If you need to export your current selection of contacts, follow these steps:

  • Hover over the three dots located next to the search bar in the top left corner and click Export selection.

  • Select to export Companies and Contacts, Companies only, or Contacts only. You can choose to export the data as an Excel or PDF file.
