Customizing a Single Invoice in ABOSS
Easily Make Edits to Individual Invoices

Sometimes, you may need to edit a single invoice rather than modifying the template for all invoices. ABOSS allows you to do this using the "Customize this invoice" option.

Table of Contents

  1. Accessing the Customize Option

  2. Understanding the Custom Template

  3. Editing Options

    • Edit with Variable Data

    • Edit with Locked Data

  4. Saving Your Custom Invoice

  5. Important Notes

1. Accessing the Customize Option

While working on an event, go to the Invoice tab. Here, you will find the "Customize this invoice" button. Clicking this button will open a new screen where you can make individual edits to the invoice.

2. Understanding the Custom Template

Once you click on "Customize this invoice", the template name will automatically change to "[custom] Template name". Any changes made to the email template will not affect this custom invoice template, ensuring the customization is limited to this specific invoice.

3. Editing Options

At the top of the screen, you’ll see two editing options:

Edit with Variable Data

When you choose to edit with variable data, you’ll have the same editing options as with regular invoice templates, found in the Office section. This allows you to modify fields as needed.

Edit with Locked Data

When you select edit with locked data, the document will display all the liquid fields pre-filled with event information. In this mode, you can edit the invoice directly in the editor by adding or removing text as needed. This gives you full control over the content of the invoice.

4. Saving Your Custom Invoice

Once you've made your changes, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the green Save button. After saving, the invoice preview on the right side of the screen will automatically reload to reflect your changes.

5. Important Notes

When editing with locked data, the invoice becomes disconnected from future event changes. The invoice will be locked. This means that any updates made to the event will not be reflected in the invoice. Additionally, you’ll need the proper permissions within ABOSS to edit invoices.

Any data changed while customizing, such as fees, booking fees, etc., will not be reflected in your DEAL environment in ABOSS.
