When using ABOSS, a useful tool is the subscription to a Project's Calendar to your personal device, like iCal or Google Calendar. Yet, sometimes you might find a 'mistake' in the display of one or more events.

The solution is usually very easy: the In The Night-switch.

In The Night

When a show's starttime is after midnight, it technically occurs on the next day.

For example:

  • Your artist is playing a festival on Friday, and the starttime of their show is 0:30 AM.

  • Technically the show occurs on Saturday 0:30 AM.

  • On the contract you want to display Friday 0:30 AM.

To achieve this, you can set the "In the Night" switch for this in the event tab or you can set it while adding a new booking.

Solution

As you might suspect; this switch is also the solution to wrong synchronizing. Therefor; make sure you are using it correctly.

An example of when you should not use the button;

Your artist is playing at a festival on Monday June 1th, and the starttime is their show is: 08:00 PM.

While technically yes, the show is 'in the night', you do not need to use the button. You want your show both in ABOSS and your personal device to show on June 1th.

Using the button in this case, will make your show on your personal device appear on May 31th.
