Using the "In The Night" Switch to Correct Event Display Issues

How to ensure your event times are synced correctly with your personal calendar.

When using ABOSS, you can easily sync a project’s calendar to your personal device, like iCal or Google Calendar. However, sometimes events may not display as expected. The solution to this common issue is often as simple as using the "In The Night" switch.

1. What is the "In The Night" Switch?

The "In The Night" switch is designed for events that start after midnight, as these events technically occur on the following day.

Example:

If your artist is playing a festival on Friday, but their show starts at 0:30 AM, the event technically occurs on Saturday at 0:30 AM. However, you may want to display Friday 0:30 AM on contracts. To handle this, use the "In The Night" switch in the event tab or while adding a new booking.

2. Solution for Calendar Syncing Issues

Incorrectly synced events in your personal calendar are often due to the incorrect use of the "In The Night" switch. Make sure to use it only when necessary, based on the event's start time.

When Not to Use the "In The Night" Switch:

For example, if your artist is performing on Monday, June 1st at 8:00 PM, the show does not technically occur "in the night." In this case, you do not need to use the button. The event should appear on June 1st in both ABOSS and your personal calendar.

Using the switch incorrectly in this scenario will cause the event to appear on May 31st in your personal calendar.
