Event Labels: A Comprehensive Guide

Event Labels help you categorize shows, making them more visible in your dashboard and calendar view. They also allow you to set user permissions based on the labels.

Table of Contents

  1. Adding New Labels

  2. Managing Your Labels

    • Customizing Label Colors

  3. Setting Permissions and User Rights

    • Configuring Permissions Based on Labels

1. Adding New Labels

To add a new label:

  1. Open the event you want to label.

  2. Locate the Label(s) field on the left side of the event view.

  3. Enter the name of the label in the Add a label... field and press Enter.

  4. The label will now be added to the event.

Next time, use the same labels with the auto-complete function, which helps avoid creating duplicate labels.

2. Managing Your Labels

For a visual explanation on creating and managing labels, watch this video.

To view your labels:

  1. Navigate to Settings.

  2. Click on Event Labels.

  3. You will see all the labels created and used in events.

To customize label colors:

Using colors helps you quickly recognize certain types of shows.

  1. Click the colored dot next to a label to select a color.

  2. Choose any color you like.

  3. To display the color in the calendar or dashboard view, click the star icon.

Note: By default, labels are black and won't show up in your calendar unless you change the color.

Here's an example of how your dashboard and calendar will look with colored labels:

3. Setting Permissions and User Rights

Once your labels are set up, you can configure user permissions. For instance, to allow only part of the artist crew to see bar shows:

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Click on User Management.

  3. Click on the lock icon next to the user you want to change permissions for.

  4. In the new popup window, scroll down to Add event Label and click "Add event label".

  5. A new row with permission options will appear under Calendar Event(s). Select the appropriate label.

  6. Select the appropriate permission.

For more on permissions for Artist PRO, check out this article.

In the example below, the user’s permissions are:

  • Calendar Events: Cannot see any events in the calendar.

  • Calendar Events: Can view events in the calendar if they have a "Bar" event label.

This setup gives you more control over individual user rights. You can add multiple event labels and set specific permissions for each one.
