The deal module in ABOSS gives you the possibility to create a financial deal for each of your events created in the calendar. Information such as the Gross Fee, commissions, taxes and ticket sale upside entered in the deal are available throughout the system to generate your contracts, invoices and artist statements.

Artist Statement

The Artist Statement will display a simple overview of your deal outcome. Want to see how each value is calculated? Hover over the value with your mouse to display the calculation.

Deal Type, Guaranteed Fee & Ticket Percentage

The top row in your deal contains the basic structure of your deal, consisting of: Deal Type, Guaranteed Fee and/or the percentage of ticket revenue. You have the option to structure your deals with a Flat fee, Guarantee, Guarantee +, Guarantee vs. or a Door deal.

Bonuses

The deal gives you the option to add bonuses to your deal. Bonuses contain both a trigger point (When will this bonus be actived?) and the bonus values (What will happen in that case?).

Example; Add a bonus of $ 2 for each sold ticket when the total tickets sold reaches 250. This will result in a bonus of $ 100 when there are 300 tickets sold.

(300 Ticket Sold - 250 Tickets) = 50 Tickets * $2

Booking Fee

The Booking Fee can be calculated in either a percentage or a fixed amount that will be deducted from the Gross Fee.

Commission

The Commission can be calculated in either a percentage or a fixed amount that will be deducted from the Nett Fee. You have the option to calculate the commission before or after withholding tax.

*When both the percentage and amount field have been entered, the system will use the percentage value to calculate the Commission.

VAT

You have the option to add the General VAT %, Booking Fee VAT % and Ticket VAT % to your deals.
Both the General and Booking Fee VAT will be used when generating the invoices for this event. The VAT is not displayed in the Artist Statement.
The Ticket VAT % will be used when calculating your Upside and Potential Upside, based on your Nett. Price.
โ€‹
โ€‹Example: Nett. Ticket Price of $ 25.00 with a Ticket VAT of 7% will result in a price of $ 23.36 per ticket in the upside calculation.

Withholding Tax

When a deal is subject to withholding tax check the "Subject To Withholding Tax" checkbox and enter the withholding tax %. You have the option to select how you need to calculate the Withholding Tax:

  • WT over Gross Fee

  • WT over Gross Fee - Costs

  • WT over Gross Fee - Booking Fee

  • WT over Gross Fee - Costs - Booking Fee

Costs

Costs give you the option to specify costs, details about each one of them and who's responsible for payment and/or handling.
You can select one of our preselected options such as Flight, Hotel, Catering or select the 'Other' option and specify the details.

When selecting either Artist, Agency or Artist/Agency as 'Paid By' these costs will be shown in your Artist Statement.

Tickets

The Tickets box displays a summary of your Ticket Sales including total sold tickets and your potential upside.
On the lower part of the Tickets box you can enter information when needed for your deal calculation such as the venue costs, venue capacity, ticket price, ticket sale link and select if the event has been sold out and at what date.
These values can also be displayed through our API integration.

Want to know how each value is calculated? Hover over the value with your mouse to display the calculation.

Deal Files

You have the option to upload files in the Deal section. Files uploaded within the deal are only visible for users with permissions to view the deal. All financial documents can be uploaded here for easy archiving.
