A Comprehensive Guide to Inviting and Setting Permissions for Team Members

Inviting team members to your ABOSS Agency Account allows you to give each individual their own set of permissions, controlling what they can see and do. This article will guide you through the process of setting permissions per user, per project, and understanding the meanings of various permissions.

1. Understanding Project Permissions & Agency Permissions

You can change the permissions for both individual projects and the entire agency.

  • Project Permissions: These are linked to the project and include deals, invoices, contracts, etc.

    • None: Items are invisible.

    • View: Users can only view items without making changes.

    • Manage: Users can create, modify, and send items.

    • Administrate: Users can delete items.

  • Agency Permissions: These involve overall agency settings like creating locations and adding contacts, without affecting specific project permissions.

    • None: Items are invisible.

    • View: Users can only view items without making changes.

    • Manage: Users can create, modify, and send items.

    • Administrate: Users can delete items.

2. Set Permissions per User

To set permissions for individual users:

  1. Go to Office.

  2. Navigate to Team Management.

  3. Click on the name of the team member.

a. Set Project Permissions per User

To update permissions for a single project:

  1. Link the project via the plus sign.

  2. A pop-up will open to set permissions. You can change them by clicking on the grey dot of the permissions of your choosing.

  3. Simply click the X in the rop right, to close this pop-up. Changed will automatically be saved.

  4. To unlink, click the plus sign again. All permissions will be removed.

You can also set permissions for multiple projects at once:

  1. Select the project you want to change permissions for.

  2. Click "Update permissions for selected projects".

  3. A pop-up will open to set permissions for the selected projects. Click on the grey dot of the permission for your choosing.

  4. Simply click the X in the rop right, to close this pop-up. Changed will automatically be saved.

b. Set Agency Permissions per User

Scroll down to find Agency Permissions. You can change them by clicking on the grey dot of the permissions of your choosing. Changes made will be saved automatically.

3. Set Permissions per Project for Multiple Users

To set permissions for multiple users in a project:

  1. Go to Office.

  2. Navigate to Project Management.

  3. Click on the project name and go to Users.

  4. Select the users to update their permissions by checking their box.

  5. Click the 'Update permissions for selected users' button.

  6. A pop-up will open to set permissions for the selected projects. Click on the grey dot of the permission for your choosing.

  7. Simply click the X in the rop right, to close this pop-up. Changed will automatically be saved.

4. Settings for Artist/ Crew Linked to Projects
